Thomas A. Ritchie, M. D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Thomas A. Ritchie is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He completed his Fellowship in Cardiology and Residency in Internal Medicine through Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. Before earning his Doctorate of Medicine from Emory University, Dr. Ritchie graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.
Dr Ritchie is considered to be one of the best in his field in the judgment of other Phoenix metropolitan physicians. He is honored to be one of Phoenix magazine’s “Top Docs” in Cardiology in 2006 and 2007. Dr. Ritchie has been included in the Best Doctors in America list. Press Ganey, a renowned research firm, ranks him in the top 10th percentile of physicians in the country whose patients would recommend him as a physician to friends and family. Dr. Ritchie is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Ritchie earned numerous awards during his medical training. He was recognized for outstanding academic achievement and named to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.
Dr. Ritchie has built his reputation as one of the Valley’s best cardiologists with a special interest in treating valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and congestive heart failure. He is an invasive non-interventional cardiologist performing cardiac catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiography and interpretation of nuclear myocardial perfusion studies.
Holding an additional board certification in Nuclear Cardiology, he is the Director of the Nuclear Department at Tri-City Cardiology. Dr. Ritchie participates in research and is interested in advancing the treatment of heart disease.
