Dr. Todd S. Perlstein completed his training in Cardiovascular Medicine and Vascular Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. Dr. Perlstein served as an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital prior to joining Tri-City Cardiology. He completed his undergraduate degree in molecular and cellular biology and Medical Doctorate at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Perlstein completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, where he was selected to serve as Chief Medical Resident. He has also received a Master’s degree in Medical Science from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Perlstein completed research fellowships in Hypertension and in Vascular Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He has performed original research investigating the development and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Perlstein’s work has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as Circulation, Archives of Internal Medicine, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Kidney International, Hypertension, Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, Environmental Health Perspectives, Arteriosclerosis Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, The American Journal of Medicine, Blood, Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Clinical Science (London) and Nature.

Dr. Perlstein has contributed to the education of his peers and colleagues through both writing and speaking. He has written book chapters on the topics of stroke, carotid artery disease, Raynaud’s phenomenon, peripheral artery disease and non-coronary atherosclerotic vascular disease. He has spoken at educational conferences about the subjects of hypertension, diseases of the aorta, peripheral artery disease, carotid artery disease, hyperlipidemia and non-invasive vascular ultrasound.
