Weston is a highly skilled, board-certified family nurse practitioner with over 13 years of experience in the healthcare field. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Francis College of Nursing and his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Weston worked as a registered nurse (RN) in the cardiovascular operating room at Banner Heart Hospital, specializing in open heart and vascular surgery. Weston was instrumental in the development of the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program at Banner Heart Hospital. As the TAVR clinic coordinator, he served as the main point of contact for patients and helped to facilitate each step of the process from consultation, to surgery, and postoperative care. Weston also worked in the Rapid Evaluation Unit, a special treatment area at the hospital for medical observation and evaluation. In this position, he evaluated patients with chest pain, congestive heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension, abnormal arrhythmias, strokes and transient ischemic attack (TIA), or mini stroke. Weston is dedicated to providing excellent, comprehensive, and timely quality care to his patients. He ensures that each patient experience is exceptional and strives to educate his patients so they can enjoy the highest possible quality of life. He joined Tri-City Cardiology Consultants in 2015.
